all the small things

February 17, 2012

For my ballet class, we're required to attend BYU's production of Snow Queen. It was running on campus for a few days, but by the time I tried to buy tickets every performance was sold out. I had a mini panic attack because writing a review of this ballet is a big percentage of my grade for class. I went to talk to my really sweet teacher about it, and she told me they were having one more performance in Salt Lake this Friday. Then really sweet Henry said he'd go with me. So that night - after the most difficult online purchase of the 21st century - I bought the tickets.
I am so grateful
- they're doing one more show.
- the tickets weren't sold out.
- the tickets were $10. whaaa? I know.
- Henry wants to go with me.
- I'm taking ballet.

In English on Tuesday my professor told us she had so much to go over this week that we wouldn't have time to take any quizzes. I like.

I don't know if I've mentioned on here how easily intimidated I am sometimes.
When I work in the mornings, Jason and Jackie are in the store. They're the managers, probably the only middle-aged/non-student people who work for the Creamery. Jason intimidates me a little, but I never really have to talk to him. I talk to Jackie more and for some reason she doesn't intimidate me. I don't get flustered. I can say what I think or what I need. For some reason I'm confident around her. I don't know where it comes from, but honestly it's comforting.

I like working Grab 'N Go, too. When I make eclair pies, I draw pictures with the hot fudge on top. It's kind of a hit, so look for it.

I'd love to see some pictures of your artistic eclairs! (I'd also love to eat them but I don't imagine they ship well.) Maybe after watching the Snow Queen you can write you're own ballet called the Snow Fairy based on grandma Emmett. I think it would be a hit...at least with the family.

I agree with everything your dad said... and I think I'll drop by the Creamery for a treat when I come to visit next month! And, I am grateful for you and your blog. Reading it makes me happy :)
