one year anniversary, kinda.

April 30, 2014

Stefan is the greatest human. This picture I posted today about how he and I met a year ago - we had no other reason to be on campus today. I just really wanted to go take this picture, and he didn't even blink when I asked if we could. Also he really does make me laugh every day, just about all day long. I'd say about thirty percent of my every day is spent laughing at him. He likes it.

I know I have this story recorded at least one other place, but its coming here too.

One year ago today I was back at BYU after my semester in Florida, starting my first day of spring term classes. Well, class. I only took ECON 110 that term and what an awful, terrible, beautiful thing that turned out to be.

Anyway, the first day of class. April 30th, 2013. I went to my class in the morning, then straight to the library to do my homework. (Start the term off strong, ya know?) I sat down at a computer in the No "Shhh" Zone, and after a few minutes two guys came in and took the computers to my left.

Not long after that, some kid way across the room started talking loudly about how he was just going to go pick up some muscle milk then head over to Gold's Gym... and the blond kid with a mustache sitting directly to my left started imitating the muscle milk guy. I accidentally laughed out loud, so the blond boy turned to look at me. He noticed I was working on my ECON homework and told me he was in that class too. But he was in the afternoon section, so we chatted about the class and the professor for a minute and then he had to leave.

A few weeks later I ended up at a party where I was half-way through being introduced to a blond boy with a mustache when he and I realized we had met before - in the library. Luckily this time I got his name.

And a few weeks after that - the very last day of spring term classes, in fact - I was sitting in ECON when the blond, now mustache-less boy sat down next to me. He made a few more good jokes throughout the lecture, then after it was over he asked me how I was doing in the class. I told him it wasn't going so well for me, he asked when I was going to take the final, I eventually asked him if he wanted to study with me the next day, and then he gave me his number.

He claims I was really flirty the whole time we were studying. I don't deny it anymore.

So... ECON + Muscle Milk = True Love. Another example of how the ridiculous can turn into the sublime.
