HAPPY LIST : EIGHT

March 30, 2015

// FHE and a temple night with Stefan. / Getting my soccer mom practice in while watching Stefan play. (they won! and I was the only fan there. next time, seriously bringing lots of CapriSun and orange slices.) / AKA being outside a lot on Saturday. That sunshine felt so, so good. Sunburns, we've missed you! / Getting off work three hours earlier than normal on Wednesday night. / MOUNTAINS. I am totally mesmerized by our mountains lately. We live on a mountain for goodness sake. There's something I love so much about looking up and seeing them always there and always beautiful. I'm going to miss these mountains when we leave Provo. / Talking on the phone with people who live far away, it never gets old. / Butterscotch drops AKA "goldies" - hands down my favorite treat. To make and eat devour like a total cookie monster. / Lemonade stands! Stefan and I decided a long time ago we'll always stop when we see one, assuming we have change. We usually tip, too ;) There was literally no better feeling as a kid than when a car would stop at your lemonade stand! The one we hit Saturday was selling juice for ten cents out of these tiny little shot glass sized cups. hahaha. We gave them $.40 / Sunday naps under my grandma's quilt. //

*** UPDATE: A while back, Stefan found a website that edits rated R movies. They actually do a really good job (AKA - they leave enough of the movie uncut that you can still follow the storyline). Over the past year or so we've ordered quite a few movies from this website. Oh, also the prices are good plus they're always having sales. Anyway last week, our long awaited, much anticipated copy of THE GODFATHER came! Stefan read the book and loved it, so we're all getting pretty excited around here. Seriously we might just have a viewing party with friends when we finally watch it. It's going to be big.

What about the part when the Godfather came in the mail? Why didn't that make the list...

My best guess would be.. because this is my happy list, not yours? JUST KIDDING, CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH IT.

They do seem to do a good job, but half the time while watching the Departed, I kept thinking...I must be missing something. Maybe it was just a really sneaky movie?

Hm.. Maybe I spoke too soon then. I haven't seen The Departed, but we watched Little Miss Sunshine (which rebellious middle school Erin had already seen) and I thought they did a good job with that one. We'll have to let you know how The Godfather is!

You'll make a great soccer and lemonade stand mom.

Mountains do rock (pun intended). I STILL miss then after 25 years in the flatlands.
