October 08, 2015

I've been wanting to post a lot here the past few days, and while I have ideas about what I want to say I don't have the time to write it all out yet. But I neeeed to write something that isn't for school, and I've never done one of these things before, so here I am:

LOVING: Um, everything. Seriously. And I really think it might have to do with being pregnant? Like maybe this tiny boy is going to be super happy and optimistic all the time like his daddy and it's rubbing off on me while he's still inside me? I'm loving this baby, loving Stefan, loving the huge rainbow in Heber earlier this week, loving the maternity pants my angel mother bought me, loving cleaning the temple last week, loving tater tots, the list goes on.

DWELLING ON: This past weekend of General Conference, hearing so many messages that hit me straight in the heart, how much I love the Gospel and my Savior Jesus Christ. (Sorry, loving more things.) I have a lot more thoughts on all this, but that's another post for another day.

OBSESSED WITH: Back to the maternity pants, plus Airheads.

WATCHING: The Mindy Project and Seinfeld because we finally signed up for our own Hulu account. HOLLLAAAAA. But I need need need to watch some autumn-y movies soon. See also: You've Got Mail (perfect for every season, let's be honest), Harry Potter, and Hocus Pocus.

LOOKING FORWARD TO: March! My senioritis might not be so bad if I didn't also have a baby to look forward to.. Maybe it would, what am I saying? Oh but also my out of this world thoughtful friend sent me a gift certificate for a massage and I am drooling just thinking about it!

COOKING: LOL. Frozen pizza. Toast, bagels, mac and cheese, please send help.

SMELLING: Alcohol. Read the whole story! I'm only mentioning it so I can fit this story in somewhere.. haha. Within the past few weeks, Stefan discovered this EDM (electronic dance music) band he really likes - Galantis. They were coming to Salt Lake for a concert and because I knew how badly Stefan wanted to go, we bought tickets at the last minute. The concert was at this club in Salt Lake that had at least fifteen huge bouncers and a super sketchy crowd. I was legitimately afraid I wouldn't get in because in my ID picture I have a pixie cut so I look nothing like it now, and also in real life I look sixteen. Anyway, we both got in, we listened to this average DJ play the same song for two hours, and during the first song Galantis finally played I got alcohol spilled on my head twice. We were standing right under the edge of the balcony and people also kept straight up dropping their glasses which would shatter on the floor at our feet. Also I made Stefan keep his arms around me the whole time because people were getting handsy and weird. Needless to say, we didn't make it to the end of the concert and Stefan told me he wouldn't make me go to any EDM concerts with him anymore. hahaha. Not that he made me at all - but yeah in the future probably count me out.

Moving on.

READING: Textbooks. Another reason I can't wait for school to be over! I'm already making a list of books to read to help keep me distracted during January and February.

LISTENING TO: Well a lot of Galantis, now that you mention it. My car's whole sound system is busted so if anything I'm playing Pandora/Songza from my phone or singing to myself in the car.

WASTING TIME: Uhhh doing this? Watching Mindy? I'm trying not to be a time waster.

A LITTLE WORRIED: About my lack of motivation toward school. Seriously it's a good thing I'm part of so many group projects, if no one was holding me accountable for anything... woof.

SURPRISED AT: How I feel more out of place at BYU every day. I think when December comes, I'll be ready to say goodbye.

APPRECIATING: My parents coming to Utah last weekend! Those two are so loving and generous and fun.

I agree about your parents! Your mom brought me a DQ ice cream cake for my birthday today! And she's not even my VT anymore. :) It made my whole day!

Super excited for you and Stefan and your little guy!! You will be the cutest parents ever. :)
