girl erin, not boy aaron. Life can get pretty tricky with a name that works for both genders. Luckily, I've found the perfect way to distinguish myself from all these boys with whom I share my great name. Referring to myself as girl erin and boys as boy aaron has seriously become so common, regardless of how well I know the boy. I'm just trying to help everyone out here.

So that's how this blog got its (second) name. I started blogging for a class project, and I kept blogging for a lot of reasons. First of all, blogging is seriously a gift from the heavens for those of us who struggle to keep a written journal. I love keeping a journal on here complete with pictures to help me remember things even better.

I also blog because I want to put even a tiny bit more happiness out into the internet. When I read other people's blogs I feel uplifted and inspired, I laugh my head off, I get great ideas, tips, and advice. I want to be part of that!

As far as a mini autobiography goes.. I grew up in a small town in Illinois. Those were the years when I loved student council and ice cream. Then I graduated from BYU in Recreation Management in 2015. I still love ice cream and planning events, but it's almost unbelievable to think about all the ways my college years changed me. Now I'm living with my little family in Utah learning how to be a stay at home mom - our baby boy was born in March 2016!

A list of things I love? Sure: my handsome husband Stefan (Stef-in), my baby Peter, ice cream, popcorn, Dr. Pepper, (health nut!), You've Got Mail, running, haircuts, flossing, riding my cute bike, fresh pineapple, lots of green trees, dancing, Provo, New Girl, Local Natives, stuffed animals, art, getting presents, the feeling of explaining something really well, aaand.. Tegan and Sara. Amen. Welcome to my blog!

Where in Illinois did you grow up? My husband is from DeKalb, are you familiar with the area?

Yeah Illinois! I'm from Charleston which is pretty small and would be about a three hour drive south of DeKalb. #cornfields But my husband is from Northbrook, so that's a bit closer!
